Yoz, today we had GS meeting... haha went to 2 places to enjoy our day... First, we went to "The Balcony" to have our dinner... at Hereen. We sat at level 1 cos is for dining purposes... while level 2 is for drinks(pub). Maybe cos is wed, a weekday there are'nt many people... what i can say is, the food they serve are quite limited and so is only alright... not that good... think their aim is to serve drink rather than food. They had quite a number of drinks... include alcholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Their serving also quite different... they gotta memorise what we order. They cant write it down infront of us... quite amazed when we saw the waitress serving us is not writing down but memorised in her head... The chair we sit on is another unique thing they had. One is sofa type and the other is like rocking chair... like those kind we played when we are kid. Is so enjoying when u rock rock rock when chatting with friends.
Then after, we happened to say the topic abt game cafe... the one at Holland Village that we wishes to go there since dunno when but no chance to go. Suddenly, it urges us to go there immediately... And happened, during then the time is 8.15pm, and seems quite early to leave and we are clueless dunno wat we want to do... we decided to go to "The Settlers" - more than a cafe... but also can play games...
. We took a cab to Holland Village. And the crazy thing is we dunno where it near. We only know is at Holland Village, near fairprice supermarket... and we just find our way there with the driver.
We reached at ard 8.45pm... and the so called boss said they closed at 10.30pm. We all the way coming from Orchard to Holland Village is to play games... and so we just say is alright not to play 2hrs and we pay the table of 4. Cos all the games are new to us, we gotta need them to explain how to play the game. Eventually, we played 2 new games: I'm the Boss! and Blokus till 11.20pm... haha see the boss so good... allow us to play till so long...
I'm the Boss!
Rarely is a game broken down to its bare essence as cleanly as this game is. Up to sixteen deals can be made over the course of the game, and a player who successfully makes a deal is given a certain amount of money. In order to close the deal, however, he will need to seek help from the other players in exchange for a piece of the payoff. Complicating matters quite bit, each player has a hand of action cards which can be used to derail negotiations. After ten deals have been made, a die is rolled each turn to determine if the game is over, with the victory going to whoever has the biggest bankroll.
Blokus
In this abstract strategy with transparent, tetris-shaped, colored pieces players try to get rid of all their pieces. The only caveat to placing a piece is that it may not lie adjacent to your other pieces. Instead you must place your pieces at the vertices of your pieces already on the board. Supports up to 4 players. In the single player version you try to get rid of all the pieces in a single sitting .
