Day 1:
This trip consists of 8 people- friends’ family members and friends. Supposing my friend’s friend, Jacqueline was seated on the left window and I was seated in the middle seat together with her mother and aunties and my friend, Wanyi was seated towards to the right window… Aiyoh, all separated then we go changed the seat immediately without everyone notice. Ha-ha, as if we taking bus. Then, we 3 youngsters seat near the right window…Lucky I seating the 2nd seat much nearer to the window, able to see the night view of Singapore. When the airplane starts to “fly”, the feeling was so thrill. As the plane travels further, the ground below us seems smaller and smaller and with all the lights lighten up, you will surprise they are the tall buildings, cars and lights. At the moment, it seems like ground sparkle like diamond or stars. It can seem that everyone was dead beat; especially Jacqueline and Wanyi almost slept after eating the dinner that the plane provided. Ha-ha, can’t blame them cos they are working since morning. It was traveling smoothly till left 25 minutes to reach Bangkok Airport, there is a small “gurgle” it seems the plane has “knocked” the clouds. Then, everyone seems to “fly” over a bit. So scary! But lucky we got seat belt fasten or else think will throw out of our seat. Then Jacqueline and Wanyi wake up from that “gurgle” and didn’t dare to sleep and we 3 of us kept seeing the scenery outside. Then, another unusual thing happened again. The plane took a longer route! It traveled in circle direction then it travels straight then it turn right and back to left again. At first, I didn’t notice until there is a couple behind us commenting why the plane traveled in circle direction as they saw the map route in the TV in front of us. After minutes, we safely arrived in Bangkok Airport. After departing from the plane, we went straight to the airport cos we knew the journey to our hotel will be very long. Wah! their checkpoint was so far from the departing area. So far, lucky got the electronic escalator or else those aunties sure leg pain. After checkout, we stand in one corner waiting for our tour guide to take us to hotel. We all so exhausted as the time at Bangkok is 12:05am and 1:05am in Singapore time. Then, after 10minutes, the tour guide came. She introduces herself as “Ning” and then separated us into 2 vans as there are some people not staying the same hotel as us. Can u all imagine beside the driver and the tour guide seating the front seat, the rest of us - 12 people got to squeeze behind the van. Heng! Everyone is small build so able to squeeze in the van and the driver speeds so we able to reach the hotel in a faster time. Can’t imagine they can travel 120km/hr to 140km/hr in the road. Unlike us in Singapore, we sure kana “caught”. The first minute we get our room key [So outdated: not using access card] is to rush in and have a good rest. Cos we need to wake up 6am in the morning to the half day city tour and that means we got 5hrs of sleeping time… Tired! When reaching outside of our room, all of us start to do the same action: knocked the door and say something… as to let “that thing” know we are going in… Surprisingly, there isn’t any window in the room! No flask! The only water we can consume is from the fridge or from the toilet… I mean there is drinkable water tap located in the toilet. No much time to complain and then went to sleep… ZzzZzzz
Day 2:
Alarm rang~ and by pressing one button to make it snooze in ten minutes time, no more ringing and we back to sleep again. Whahaha! Our usual pattern…We start to wake up when it starts to “ring” again… We by turn use the toilet and the other person went to sleep again. Ha-ha! By 07:20am, we went down to eat our breakfast. So early but I too hungry so I don’t care how early that time is… I just want to grad something to eat. Lucky, the food they serve are quite nice and marvelous… No wonder so many tourists wake up so early to enjoy their breakfast. After breakfast, we waited for the rest at the lobby. Cos only got 8 of us going for the half day city tour, we can “skip” of sharing seats with each other. Due to going to temple, we are told not to wear shelves and shorts. And with this “wonderful” weather at Bangkok, we almost “burn”. To prevent this, applying sun block lotion is a must*1000000 to us! During the half day city tour, we went to a temple by taking the canal boat; saw those natives selling things to us on boat; kids jumping to the river/sea bathing; adults washing their clothes and use the water in the river to cook/drink and lastly went to GEMS Gallery. Our half day city tour ends when they dismissed us at Pratunam to pray and we went to Big C for lunch. We went to the food court to settle our meal. Surprisingly, we need to buy “coupon” in order to purchase our food. Anyway, the food is so delicious especially the gravy for the duck rice and most importantly it is so cheap!!! With 20 baht [less than S$1.00], u can buy one meal. Wow, that why so many Singaporeans like to go Bangkok for shopping, eating and enjoying.
After lunch, we seems “recharging” our batteries able to walk and shop till night. We went to lots of shopping centers like Big C, Bangkok Bazear, Pratunam Complex, Central World Plaza, Siam Center and MBK Center. Our favorite Shopping Center is MBK. Beside we can bargain the prices; we can also enjoying the aircon there. Can u all imagine the weather outside is 36-38 Degree Celsius? Since the rate at Bangkok is so low, the price of having a MacDonald meal is so cheap also, ard S$3.00. Quality still remains. Ard around 7pm, went back to our hotel cos we watching “Ah Gua” show at ard 9:30pm. We seem like idiots; trying to walk to our hotel we are staying. Actually, it is possible cos only 10minutes walk. But don’t know what happen, we walked to the wrong street … end up walking more than 10 minutes. Lucky got kind souls directing us how to walk or else we sure “lost” in that street. We quite relief after we saw Asia Hotel right in front of us cos we can’t imagine walking the street with not much lights on and with all unfamiliar faces looking at us. After watching the “Ah Gua” show, I can only say they are so “professional”. Some of them are much prettier than we gals, tall and “well- surgery”. Whahaha! Think only those have saw the show will know what I talking about… If not, u all makes a guess lor.
Day 3, Day 4:[Forgotten... Is all abt shopping... heez]
